Half the weekend will be sunny with most of the weekend having good water conditions. Saturday will be clear and dry with more sun than clouds. Sunday will bring in increasing clouds and chances of rain, mix and/or snow, with those chances increasing into Sunday Night. Right now, there is not any accumulation in the forecast, but it is possible, especially Sunday Night. Saturday will be the cooler of the two days with highs only in the 20’s and lows in the single digits to 20’s. Sunday will have highs into the upper 30’s with overnight lows in the upper 20’s. Water conditions will be mainly good for all locations through Sunday Night. Some areas may see borderline conditions on Saturday, but overall conditions look good. Conditions will deteriorate late on Sunday Night and into Monday. Surf conditions will also be good and also deteriorate late on Sunday and into Monday. Water temperatures are steady in the 20’s and 30’s. UV Index is Moderate at 3-4/15 maybe even some 5/15 on Saturday.
High pressure will build across the region on Thursday Night and into the weekend. A weak upper air disturbance will cross the area on Friday. A weak low pressure system and its fronts will affect the area Sunday Night into Monday. More high pressure will arrive for Monday Night and early Tuesday. Another storm will affect the area for the middle of next week.
A wet upcoming week in the forecast right now. Every day next week will have a chance of precipitation ranging from rain to a mix to snow. High temperatures will range from low 30’s to mid 40’s with overnight lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Rain or snow will depend on temperatures and location, with Northern NJ likely to see more snow than rain due to colder temperatures. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to hazardous Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and possibly Friday.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading! Any updates for Sunday/Monday snow to follow.
