where to kayak fish nj

I have a 23ft CC I take out of liberty state park once a week..
I bought a old town predator 13ft about a month ago and have been fresh water fishing with it and would love to try some saltwater fishing with it.
 I live by the woodbury commons in ny and am looking for the closest place to lanch my yak and do some saltwater fishing.

  if you come to the jersey side i could tell you a few placed in raritan bay, but i have no idea when it comes to NY side.

thanks guys... I will have to get to long branch 1 day this summer..
  I dont mind dropping it in raritan bay area. It takes me about an 1 1/2 hr to get there. where would I lanch.

If your going to make the trek to jersey,
look at belford & Leonardo both spots are on one side or the other of earl naval base.

you can also fish back more into the reach like keyport, keansburg, union beach, Laurance Harbor.

I don't know that area but the best part of kayak fishing is you don't need a facility to launch a kayak. If you can pull off to the side of the road near water you can usualy drag the kayak to the water. When windy or when wind is predicted take a look at a map and think about where it will be calm on that map and where it will be rough and choose your spots accordingly.
