The remainder of Monday and all of Tuesday will be dry with increasing sun before rain and even snow chances move in on Wednesday and then all rain for Wednesday Night, Thursday and early Friday. Rain looks to be widely scattered showers tapering off to scattered showers by Friday. Friday will begin clearing for Friday Night. Rain, snow and/or mix is possible early on Wednesday, especially across northern areas. It could make for some hazardous surfaces. Highs will range from the 30’s and 40’s, up into the 60’s on Thursday before dropping back to the 40’s. Still chilly temperatures with a few warmer days mixed in. Overnight lows will range from the teens to 40’s. Water conditions will be good on Tuesday and begin deteriorating on Wednesday becoming cautious to hazardous for Thursday and early Friday before becoming borderline to cautious again on Friday and into the weekend. Surf conditions will be good, then ok to cautious on Thursday and Friday as winds increase and surf builds to 8+ feet. Water temperatures are a couple of degrees warmer, still in the upper 30’s to 40’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 2-4/15.

High pressure centered near the Northern Great Lakes will continue to build slowly southeastward and over the area through Tuesday. A warm front is then forecast to lift north through the region Wednesday, followed by a strong cold front Thursday Night. High pressure will build down from Central Canada on Friday and gradually build east toward the Mid Atlantic over the weekend, with another cold front possibly cross the region on Monday.

The weekend looks dry with highs in the low 40’s or so and overnight lows in the 30’s. Water surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious all weekend.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!

Re: Thunderstorms Possibly Severe
« Reply #1 on: March 26, 2015, 09:12:22 AM »
As rain chances continue today, this afternoon thunderstorms are possible with some of them in Southern and Coastal NJ strong to severe. Damaging winds are a low possibility today with any thunderstorms, as is heavy rains and dangerous lightning.

I will have an update to Friday's weather, as precipitation, even some snow to mix to rain is possible Friday Night and Saturday Day. Full Weekend Outlook by later this evening.

Be safe!
