A mixed weekend with weather, but cautious to hazardous water conditions. Clouds will increase on Thursday Night with rain possible during the overnight and more organized and widespread showers on Friday. There could even be some thunderstorms mixed in during the day on Friday. Most of the clouds and shower will clear for Saturday, however some may linger. Saturday Day will have sun mixed with clouds and chances of rain, mainly scattered showers during the day. Easter Sunday will be cloudier with clouds mixed with sun and lower chances of isolated or scattered showers mainly across the northern part of the state. The weekend will not be a wash as nothing organized or widespread looks to be in the forecast. Sun may outdo the clouds as well. Highs will be in the 50’s on Saturday and into the 60’s in places on Sunday. Overnight lows will still dip back into the 30’s, but many areas will stay above the freezing mark. Water conditions look cautious to hazardous on Saturday and cautious on Sunday. Saturday could see winds to 30+ knots and seas to 10 feet with Gale Warnings and Small Craft Advisories. Surf and beach conditions will be cautious on Saturday with winds to 30+ knots and surf heights 5-8+ feet. Sunday will be ok to good with some gustier winds around 20 knots and seas 2-4 and 3-5 feet. Water temperatures are a couple degrees warmer with all waters in the lower 40’s now. UV Index will be Moderate at 4-5/15.
Low pressure moving across Eastern Canada will cause a front to approach from the west on Thursday Night and Friday. An area of low pressure will develop on the front over the Ohio Valley and will cross the region on Friday Night and early Saturday. High pressure will build across the area for the weekend and into Monday. Another low pressure system and an associated front will approach next Tuesday.
The week will start off dry on Monday with rain chances moving in for the rest of the week. Highs will be in the 50’s and maybe lower 60’s with overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s. Temperatures are slowly warming. Rain chances look to be scattered at this time. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to hazardous most of the week. There may be pockets of good conditions, possibly for Tuesday.
Have a great Easter Weekend and thanks for reading!
