Tom and I left our slip at Atlantic Highlands Marina about seven this morning looking for keeper Fluke. Loaded with Killies and local Eels along with Gulp we started at the Shrewsbury Channel, then the flats of the Ammo Pier, made a move to the White security cans. Only finding shorts which were very cold to the touch we moved to the Point of Hook, checked out #1 Can and then to #13 Sandy Hook Channel, not finding anything we took a peek out in the ocean seeing only Bluefish boats. I don’t know what the sea temperature was but cold fish told us to fish the Bay. As it happens the tide just started in at #3 Shrewsbury Channel where the water had warmed providing many short Fluke @17”. On the last drift I picked up a 19 1/2” Fluke and we headed in late as the heat was building. Pete
