Low tide makes the channel non navigable. At low tide I touch bottom with my puny 25' boat with an outboard, a large boat with an inboard doesn't have a chance. And they won't be doing any work this season and possibly AFTER next season.  5hrug nosmly

IN the mean time, here is the coordinates for the spot where boats have been hitting the old marker and Saturday a boat that went wide towards the red can(east side of channel) got caught up in the chain for the buoy and bent his prop....

Heard, Capt. Ralph on the the Last Lady was stuck in the back channel Saturday morning nosmly an he has crossing that channel forever fcp
