IBSP launching
« on: July 26, 2015, 09:57:59 AM »
Anyone know if I can launch into the ocean from IBSP? South of Seaside looks to be a really long promising stretch of beach away from the masses.

I know there's a fee to pay if you enter the beach from the boardwalk, but how about that area south of the boardwalk?

Is that whole place a surf fishing zone only? Thanks!

I'm not a yaker, and sure some one more knowledgable will chime in so with that said here ya go,,

I do believe that launching a yak from the surf on the ocean side is a nogo. You can launch on the bay side.

Kayak hotspot is bay side of parking lot 21. There is a windmill there and a decent rest room. There is a road leading to the bayside that you can drop your yak off then park at the lot by windmill. Most yakers i believe stroll around the sedge islands.

There is also a walk at area 7 but you would have to hump the yak and gear down that one with no drop off, and a good distance from the sedges.
All your tuna's are belong to me

No launching of kayaks ocean side in IBSP

I have seen people launch from SSP, SSH, Ortley and Lavalette ocean side without a problem.

Bayside launch sites on IBSP are A15 and A21
