Down Deep Bull - 9/16 Fluke & Seabass to 7 + lbs.

Today Capt. Jay ran a 6 am - 2 pm Fluke trip for a great group of guys. Started real promising but lost the drift and bounced around finding a bunch of shorts with a few keepers. The surprise of the day was the amount of monster Seabass we were catching, with a few north of 5.5 lbs to this beautiful bruiser below, a Fluke pool winner at 21" / 7.15 lbs.  All Seabass safely released for the much anticipated Oct. 22 opening day, with these pieces primed and ready right now   Thanks everyone for sailing with us. Holy hell 21" Fluke at 7+ pounds where's the picture that's some interesting numbers....

Agreed a 21" Fluke @ 7.15 lbs. would be a sight to see. But we never saw one and we didn't have one. What I tried to say was the Seabass pictured in the post would have won a Fluke pool if the Seabass season was open. The Seabass pictured above was every fraction of 7.15 lbs, a truly beautiful fish to see. I will try and be clearer when I post. Tight lines to all, with all the northeast wind forecasted for a few days looks like the dock lines will remain tight.
