Yesterday after being tied to the dock for the last few days we decided to take a look at some late season areas in the bay. How much lead can you pour, how many rods can you prep, plus all other efforts getting ready for the fall fishing season without getting stir crazy. So by no surprise we found some keeper fluke with enough short action to make it a nice day out. From the looks of the forecasts we will be back at fishing early next week, check our schedules for Ling, Cod, Flounders. Now we will load up on Porgies and assorted bottom dwellers for who want them, along with Stripers, Blues & Weaks. Book your charters and open boat trips now. Dates are filling.
Congratulations to Ed Cassel on catching our seasons best, a Jumbo Fluke at 10.8 lbs. He will receive a work of art custom built rod for his PB aboard Down Deep.
Thank you to everyone who sailed aboard the Down Deep Fleet for the 2015 Fluke season. This was a tough season for most. Kudos to the captains and customers who never gave up and stuck with it. Can't wait to see the numbers this year. But for now, good luck for a great fall 2015 season.
