After we realized the State Marina was shut down, plan B had us launching with all the other AHs at AH. You literally have to park your trailer on the other side of town and take a taxi back to your boat! Remind me again why we pay for a season pass at Edison only to have them pull out the floating docks early Sept, another season pass for Leonardo only to have it shut down early, WTF?
Ain't gonna stop us. First stripe in the box almost immediately. Then Tombo must have raised the invisible come fluck us up flag because all forms of lunacy and imprudent marination headed our way for the next few hours. Instead of our theory: late season the idjits go home, I think they all concentrated right around us today. Oy vey we just shook our heads at all of the wackiness going on. Literally people were altering course to muck up our angling.
Ain't gonna stop us. Tombo deftly navigated thru the jackarandas and we wound up going 10 for 12 on stripers up to 33" (OKL.) Not a bluefish to be found today. Nothing but linesiders and lunatics but a full boat for us, stripers over stripers with a side of stripers. Fun day and meat for the freezer too. Thanks Tom and no thanks to the State or any of the more money than brains asshats we had to deal with. F 'em all we're eatin fish tonight.
