Now that the weekend has passed, Striper fishing was a bust for us and most from the north. Time to change gears.
We have had a great season on all fishing fronts and thank many of you for sharing in our good fishing fortune. This fall Striper season was as good as it gets, epic even, where decking over 100 fish was not uncommon. Capt. Tom Palchanes of the Nan Sea J legacy along with his mate Joe joined our team and his trips were nothing short of epic. Now with the Stripers annual southern migration, hopefully they will remain inside the 3 mile line for the south Jersey fleet to at least get a fraction of the action and catching we have had over the last several weeks. We now need to move on.
Starting Tuesday December 8, both Down Deep & Down Deep Bull will run 6 am open boat and/or charters for Blackfish daily. Capt. Rob has been putting everyone over some real good bottom and Sunday, Frankie was HH with a dozen up to 8 lbs. Monday was just a great Tog smackdown. Come catch your share of Tog in the middle of December in a T-shirt, amazing weather ahead this week. If we come across Stripers, we have bonus tags aboard both boats and will deck them if the we want. .
"Short notice list" subscribers will be notified of upcoming Offshore trips on good weather windows. We will be exploring Cod wrecks soon and will make these trips when we feel they are ready. Check our schedules, get the crew together, book a charter or open boat trip. We get you right on 'em. Happy holidays to all.
Thank you,
Capt. Mario
