Another unsettled week with rain and snow chances with cautious to hazardous water conditions. Meteorological Spring begins on Tuesday! Monday will start off with chances of rain showers during the day with those chances decreasing into Monday Night. Monday Night and Tuesday day will be dry with rain chances moving in for Tuesday Night and Wednesday Day. Wednesday Night will clear again before rain and snow shower chances return for Thursday Night and Friday Day. Any precipitation will end for Friday Night and into the weekend. Temperatures will be all over the place this week. Monday will see highs in the 50’s and 60’s again, with 40’s to 50’s for Tuesday and Wednesday. Overnight lows will be in the 30’s and 40’s, then down into the 20’s and 30’s for Wednesday Night. Thursday and Friday will see highs only in the 30’s and 40’s with overnight lows in the teens to 30’s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be breezy as well. Water conditions will be cautious on Monday improving for late Monday and early Tuesday, where some areas may have good conditions becoming cautious later in the day. Wednesday will have cautious to hazardous conditions with winds to 45 knots and seas to 8 feet inshore and 15 feet offshore. Thursday will see cautious conditions with possibly some good conditions for rivers and bays. Friday will be borderline with improving conditions throughout the day, minus any snow showers that cause low visibility. Small Craft Advisories are likely most of the week and Gale Warnings are possible for Wednesday. Surf conditions will be ok to cautious for most of the week, with hazardous conditions on Wednesday. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday will have winds to 25 knots and wave heights to 5 feet. Wednesday could see winds to 45 knots and wave heights to 8 feet or so. Friday will have the best conditions with winds to 15 knots and wave heights to 3 feet. Beach conditions should be ok barring any old damage from previous coastal storms and beach erosion. Some areas could still be hazardous! Water temperatures are steady in the 40’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 0-4/15, however several days this week will be Moderate at 3-4/15, indicating stronger sun influences on the area.

High pressure will move offshore through Sunday Night. As it does, low pressure near the Great Lakes will track into Eastern Canada and its associated weak cold front will cross the region on Monday Morning. High pressure will briefly move in on Tuesday. Then, low pressure developing over the Southern Plains will move northeastward to the Ohio Valley by Tuesday Night and across the area during Wednesday. A strong cold front will cross the region with this low. High pressure will build back in for Wednesday Night and Thursday. Another storm may impact portions of the area on Friday, but is forecast to stay mostly south, as of now.

Right now the weekend looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds. High temperatures will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s with overnight lows in the 20’s to 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions are looking good so far!

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
