A mixed week with average temperatures and mostly cautious to hazardous water conditions. Monday will continue with the rains that have been sporadic overnight. Rain is likely to be widely scattered to widespread for most of the day, tapering off late, and clearing for the overnight. Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry before showers return for Thursday and Friday Day. Friday Night will clear again and continue into the weekend. Highs will range from the 50’s to 60’s with overnight lows in the upper 20’s to 50’s. Water conditions will be mainly cautious with the movement of so many boundaries through the region. There will be some pockets of good, but mainly cautious to even hazardous with winds to 40 knots and seas to 12 feet with Small Craft Advisories and Gale Warnings possible. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to cautious, even hazardous later in the week with gusty winds and surf heights ranging from 1-3 feet all the way up to 5-9 feet. Water temperatures appears steady in the 40’s, however buoy links were down most of the weekend and were not reset probably due to the holiday. UV Index will be Low to High at 0-6/15.
High pressure will continue to move offshore tonight. Low pressure moving through the Great Lakes will strengthen with a weaker secondary low developing off the Mid Atlantic Coast. This system is expected to bring a cold front to the area by midday Monday. High pressure moves in again on Tuesday and Wednesday. Another low pressure system moving through the Great Lakes Region will bring a warm front through the region Wednesday Night or Thursday, followed by a cold front Friday. A stronger cold front is expected to move through the area late next weekend.
The weekend is looking dry with highs in the 50’s and overnight lows in the 30’s to 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions are borderline to cautious for both days.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
