Questions about my tackle

Anyway, the question is this:  Over the last few weeks, I've managed to collect several rod/reel combos.  Granted, most of these are cheapies, but I'd like to learn more about what/where/when they can be used.

Here's what I have:

17Hi Model paired with a 6'6" medium/light action rod

T30L paired with 7'0"

and

This, except its matched with a 10' medium action rod.


Something I'm looking for is like someone telling me that it'd be ineffective to use the 7' combo casting bay/surfside, for example.

I have no idea how I ended up with all these so quickly.  Seems like I was just asking about what I should buy as my first purchase!
