The unsettled weather continues with rain chances three days this week, windy conditions causing cautious to hazardous water conditions. Rain showers are possible on Monday with cloudy conditions. Showers will be scattered and chances increase from the south to the north. These chances will increase into the overnight and for Tuesday where showers will be more widely scattered to more widespread. Wednesday and Thursday will be dry with more sun than clouds, but rain chances will return for Friday and into Saturday Day. Temperatures will be average with highs in the 50’s and 60’s with lows in the 30’s and 40’s. It will be breezy to windy again most of the week. Water conditions will be mainly cautious to hazardous all week with winds to 35 knots again and seas to 5-8 feet increasing to more than 10 feet on Friday. Some pockets of good or borderline conditions are possible as well. Small Craft Advisories or greater are likely much of the week. If we could get into a true season without this transitional weather phases, we will get some more stabilized and settled conditions. Surf conditions will be ok to cautious with gusty winds and surf to 7 feet. Water temperatures are steady in the 40’s and 50’s. UV Index will be Low to Very High at 0-8/15.
High pressure located over the Mid Atlantic States will move offshore tonight. This will then be followed by a cold frontal boundary and associated low pressure entering the region for Monday and Tuesday from the Great Lakes. Another area of high pressure then will build southeast toward the region for the later half of the week with a lingering low pressure system offshore. This low pressure system may back westward toward the Mid Atlantic Coastline.
The weekend will be split right now for weather with chances of showers on Saturday, clearing out for Saturday Night, then dry for Sunday. Highs will be in the 50’s and 60’s with overnight lows in the 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious to hazardous with gusty winds and elevated seas. Small Craft Advisories are likely.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
