Tog'n from Barnie Light to the NY Bight
« on: November 26, 2007, 03:41:42 PM »
Sailed on the Mary M-III this past firday for an annual charter we do.  11 toggers set sail in the cold, wet conditions.

Theresa and I forgot our skins and could have really used them that day.  I felt nekkid without them all day long and one wave reminded me how important they are when out on the water.

Weather was a bit better than Ianticiapted, but still a rough day.  Captain Sam tried his hardest and did put us over some fish.  Was a pick fo rthe most part, but a few of us managed our limits.  A couple spent more time in the cabin sleeping than they did drowning crabs.
T slept half the day, but still managed to put 4 keepers into our cooler.  I pulled 11 keeper sized fish over the rail and even tied with another for the big-fish for the day at 6.5#.

Quite a few shorts were released as well.  All in all a good day and better than I expected.

Sailed on the Sea Hawk sunday with a good amount of other toggers.  One was an ex-mate of the one time Sea Pigeon.  He ended up being high-hook with his limit of 8 and took the pool.  I was second with 3 keepers and just lost out on taking my 4th pool win.
A few ling spiced up the catch for some as well.

Hopefully this passing full moon will get things going like they should be. t^

Nice catch and report.  Congrats on the pool fish split.
