Targeting Mahi
« on: July 30, 2015, 07:18:06 PM »
I rarely specifically target mahi inshore/midshore. If I get them it is usually by happenstance. I was wondering what everyone's favorite way to target them, specifically when pot hopping.

Do you like throwing live bait and getting a bit going then using small bucktail? live bait? Throw chunks and float a chunk down? Troll? Get a bit going then use a chum log?

Whatever you like feel free to share.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

Never really had much luck trying to draw them in.  Usually either pot hopped or checked out weed lines when I came across them.
