Some nice fluke fishing the last few days, lots of action on fluke with other fish in the mix. Some beautiful keepers coming in. This morning, Donna Brown, caught an 8.5 lber buck tailing with Gulp and a squid/ spearing combo. We've been drifting over the muscle beds and sometimes over the hills and bumps. We had a decent catch of keepers between 3 and 5 lbs. This afternoon the drift picked up and we did have lots of short action but not as many keepers.
Our striped bass trips this past Thursday and Friday produced some big stripers, caught mostly on live bait. Fish are up over 30 lbs. Still plenty of stripers around, they may be tricky to catch but they are there. You need to use your best fishing skills to catch these monsters. We also had some 2-3 lb blues come over the rail. We are looking forward to tomorrow nights twilight striper trip and we will be prepared for anything!
