The Gambler's halfday Fluke fishing trips have been pretty good most days. We netted some nicer sized Flukes including a number of 4 and 5 pounders. Kyle Miller of Medford, NJ caught an 8 1/2 pounder Fluke. Young Todd Burger was out with us from Freehold and he landed 3 Flukes between 4 and 5 pounds each yesterday afternoon. Charlie was out with us again on the same trip and landed 4 nice keepers between 3 and 5 pounds. Today, Sunday, trips were slower because of less favorable drifting conditions. We still caught some and the customers had a good time.
Also, some of the trips are producing some nice keeper Sea Bass up to 3 pounds. Squid spearing combo seems to be the best bait. Most trips we have been fishing in deep water to catch those bigger fish.
Our night wrecking trip on Thursday night saw a fair catch of good size Ling up to 4 pounds. Not a lot of variety on that trip this time.
The night Blue fishing trip on a Saturday night was slow. They saw small Bluefish on the fish finder but had trouble catching them.
The weather this week looks good. Our air conditioned cabin is really refreshing to sit in between drifts on those hot days. Hope to see you aboard
