A very unsettled weekend with cautious water conditions. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible both days. Saturday will be hot and humid with highs in the upper 80’s and 90’s with lows up to the mid 70’s. Humidity will be high. Sunday will see a break in the high heat with highs in the 80’s and lows in the 50’s and 60’s. Humidity will be low to moderate. Water conditions will be mainly cautious with some good conditions and borderline conditions mixed in by location. Winds could gust to 30+ knots with seas to 6 feet. A weak cold front continues to push through Central New York and Pennsylvania through the overnight. It will then return north as a warm front into New York State on Saturday. A stronger cold front will move east through the mid Atlantic states late Saturday night. High pressure then will build eastward into the region early next week. Another cold front will cross the mid Atlantic states late Wednesday, followed by Great Lakes high pressure for the end of the week.

The Atlantic Tropics are active with three invests that need to be watched over the next few days.

Next week looks mainly dry, with just some showers and thunderstorm chances on Wednesday. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with lows in the 50’s and 60’s.  Water, surf and beach conditions will be good all week, except Wednesday and Thursday.
