Last fluke trip 2016 9/23/16
« on: September 24, 2016, 10:03:27 AM »
Went out on the Monger yesterday with hopes of closing the show in Monger style.

This was the first time out since gettin my Nekid Ball Jigz in the mail and I can say I like em.

6 am shove off hour steam north, 7:15 ish first line in 7:20 ish first keeper out. TOns of bites and fish flying over early. Jerry said to work for them before the fleet showed up and I did. Caught Bingo at 9:36.

4 out of 5 were on the NBJ until it found a rock  nosmly.

White jig white gulp grub, white gulp on the teaser. White was right for me today.

Drift died and the bite slowed but it was a steady pick the rest of the day with life on every drop and some furious flurries when 6 rods would be bent at once.

finished the day with 8 keepers ORL biggest going 7+ and a full boat limit of 55 keepers.

It was my best fluke season yet. broke my pb 3 times and had limits on all but 2 trips. Ill be hanging out tuning up the gear until seabass opens unless I can run out for some SHAAAKS.  t^
