If i were to go down to the shore right and fish off the manasquan inlet, or go off the sand... what would I be in for ? Stripers right ? Basically throw on clams and just wait ... I havent been a big winter salt water fisherman...  5hrug
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Clams are still working but they are slowing down a lot since last week.  The best thing is to throw plugs or metals.

It seems like the metals are out doing the plugs right now.  AVA's in either 27 or 47 in yellow or chartreuse yellow being the winner here.

Plus don't count out the Krockadile in either 3.5 or 5 oz sizes are working as well.

There seems to be a huge amount of sand eels around and everything in sight are feeding on them.  It is hard to get anything especially today because there are so many.

Happy Catching
