Another unsettled week with mostly cautious water conditions. Monday will see some icing conditions change over to a wintry mix and then rain. Most of the state is under a freezing rain advisory for tomorrow, so be very cautious when stepping out the door in the morning or driving. Tuesday will have rain chances followed by showers on Saturday. Snow chances will be possible on Thursday Night and Friday Day. Right now, this looks like just showers, but I will be keeping an eye on anything more significant. Highs will range from the 40’s and 50’s down into the 30’s with overnight lows from the teens to 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious most of the week with Small Craft Advisories and Gale Warnings farther offshore. Water temperatures are steady. UV Index will be Low at 0-2/15.
High pressure over our area will build into New England tonight. Low pressure developing near the Virginia Capes on Monday will weaken toward Cape Cod Tuesday, as another low pressure system over the Ohio Valley heads to the Delmarva. A cold front will slide through our region Wednesday. Another area of low pressure will form off the mid Atlantic coast late Thursday or Friday to be followed by high pressure building slowly eastward into our area next weekend.
The weekend looks dry right now, but cold. Highs only in the 20’s and 30’s with overnight lows in the single digits and teens. Water, surf, and beach conditions will be borderline on Saturday and cautious Sunday.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
