An ok start to the weekend, with a wet and rough finish. Saturday will start off with rain shower chances and patchy fog, then clear out leaving dry conditions. Temperatures will be above average in the upper 40’s and 50’s with lows in the 40’s. Sunday will bring a solid coastal storm capable of heavy rains, gusty winds, hazardous water conditions and coastal flooding. The worst will come Sunday Night and Monday. Gale and Storm Watches have been posted. Sunday will have rain with highs in the 50’s and lows in 30’s and 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be good on Saturday and Hazardous on Sunday. Sunday will have winds to 50 knots and seas to 18+ feet. Water temperatures are steady. UV Index
I will keep an eye on any changes in the forecast for the coastal storm, especially any flooding or snow threats.
Weak high pressure will build across our region through Saturday. A strong and complex area of low pressure will impact the Mid- Atlantic from Sunday through Tuesday. Conditions briefly dry out for the mid- week period, and then unsettled weather returns to close out the work week.
