Bandit indian river delaware togging
« on: December 06, 2007, 01:35:48 PM »
Hello all for those of you who dont know the Bandit which is docked in belmar nj is now located in indian river inlet delaware. delaware is the Bandit's winter time home where it tog fishes from now till april.

for those of you who are not familiar with the area. the del-mar area is home of some of the best tog fishing on east coast. the water stays a few degree warmer and the fish cont to bite all winter. most of the wrecks get little to no pressure from jan - apr. it is not uncommon  to not see another boat out the whole day. tog in the 10 -16 lb range were common for us our first season as well as many limit catches which is 10 fish in delaware.

for the traveling anglers we have made arrangements at the local hotel sea esta iv. $30$ for two people. many of our anglers stayed and fished for a couple of days . approx drive time for most in nj is 3 hrs

we will be sailing group/split charters every fri sat and sun. the boat sails on a all day sched. green crabs provided all winter.

reservations required by 9m the night before the trip... NO WALK ONS ACCEPTED.

we will post are reports regularly.

Capt Scotty Gold at the helm. Capt Jerry on deck.

hope to see you soon.

I'm hoping we can get a bunch of guys together from here on a trip south.   t^

I've seen the Bandit IVs posts before and they put you onto some huge blackfish down there.

Fished with you guys last January and looking forward to doing so again next month.

Might even drive down on a Thursday and fish Friday, Saturday and perhaps Sunday too.

Convenience of the Sea Esta IV motel is ideal less than a 10 minute drive to the boat.

I may have to join in that one as well.

Heard great things about that boat.

That guy Jimmy is also a hell of a fisherman. Huge winter flounder to his credit too I believe.

Believe me, I HAVE to bring Jason. He's been talking about fishing with you guys again since the summer. In fact, he just added a new item to his gift list...yup that's right a blackfish rod. Might give him ne extra Seeker BA-85 or just might buy something new for him.

Yeah that was something last time. We did have a nice pick of fish all day but the kid was on fire and had his 10 tog limit (+ the eventual pool winner) before noon while no one else had more than 4 at that point. Then he goes and catchs another keeper and says, "dad this can go towards your limit". Procedes to place his rod in the holder goes inside the cabin and sleeps the rest of the remaining 3 hours of fishing. He won the pool and high hook honors. I ended up with 7 keepers-not including the one he gave me.

See you soon Capt. Jerry
