The first half of the weekend will be wet with cautious water conditions, however Sunday will be nice. Saturday will have the remnants of TS Cindy move through the area with rain and/or thunderstorms. Rain and showers will end by evening, with the bulk of the rain in the morning. Sunday will be dry and sunny. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with lows in the 50’s to 60’s. Humidity will be moderate to high before the cold front moves through and brings low to moderate humidity. Water conditions will be cautious on Saturday with winds to 20 knots and seas to 7 feet, but Sunday will see winds to 15 knots max and seas to 3 feet with good conditions. Surf and beach conditions will be cautious on Saturday with Moderate to High Rip Current Risk and good on Sunday with a Low Rip Current Risk. Water temperatures are steady in the upper 60’s to upper 70’s in places. UV Index will be Very High at 8-10/15.

A cold front over the Midwest states will move through the region on Saturday. Meanwhile, remnant  tropical moisture will stream northeastward ahead of the front. High pressure builds in from the Great Plains and Midwest region for the second half of the weekend. A weak cold front is expected to move through the region Monday night or Tuesday. High pressure returns to the area for the middle of next week before moving off the coast late in the week.

The Atlantic Tropics had Tropical Storm Cindy this week, which made landfall on the Gulf Coast and is moving up through the middle of the US, into the Mid-Atlantic and then to the Northeast and out to sea.

Have a great weekend!
