Flounder off the surf?

I recently began fishing for flounder off the surf. Last week 8/4. I caught 2 shorties. Has anyone had success off the surf for flounder ?

 I've gotten a winter flounder couple weeks ago, but no fluke. I try for them every trip.

 Have seen ospreys get two short flounder out of the wash.
