Another unsettled week with rain, showers, and thunderstorms and mixed water conditions. Monday will start off with rain, showers, and thunderstorms, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms for Tuesday Day. Tuesday Night and Wednesday look mostly dry with showers and thunderstorms moving back in for Friday and Saturday. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with lows in the 60’s and 70’s. Monday’s rain could prompt Flash Flooding with Flash Flooding Watches in effect for most of the southern part of the state. Water conditions will be Cautious on Monday for all locations with winds to 25 knots and seas 2-8 feet. Tuesday will be borderline with winds to 15 knots and seas to 4 feet. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will have good conditions inshore and good to borderline for midshore to offshore waters. Surf and beach conditions will be cautious on Monday with a Moderate to High Risk of Rip Currents. The rest of the week will be borderline to good with a Low to Moderate Risk of Rip Currents. Water temperatures are in the low to mid 70’s with shallow bay waters in the upper 70’s. UV Index will be Low to Very High at 0-9/15.
A low pressure system propagating along a warm front will cross the region Monday. The warm front is expected stall then propagate south as a cold front Monday night into Tuesday morning. High pressure is hen expected to build and persist over the region through mid week, before shifting off shore by Friday. A trough is expected to propagate over the region this weekend.
Again, there are two areas being watched in the Atlantic Tropics. One is Tropical Depression Seven in the Gulf of Mexico along the Central America Coast. This system will continue heading west into Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula. A second area of invest is in the Atlantic moving west into the Caribbean. Both need to be watched for affects in the future, but nothing immediate.
