For many of us today fishing is in our blood; there is no place on earth we would rather be than on the water. And in, 'no place on earth' is fishing more embedded in our history than in the great state of Florida. Fishing is part of us and we are part of fishing. It's our heritage! We can trace the roots of our great sport back to the early pioneers such as the legendary Captain Wilson Hubbard:
As a Florida native who has been fishing our waters ever since the late forties it has been both an honor and a privilege to have personally known and fished with some of the best. Who could ever forget fishing on the Florida Fishing l with the man himself, Captain Wilson Hubbard:

One of the, 'best of the best,' Captain Bobby Buswell, began his distinguished career working for Captain Hubbard. Bobby idolized Captain Wilson Hubbard. Later on Captain Bobby Buswell was highly recognized as one of the best of all times. During the sixties Captain Buswell and I often fished the great king fish schools side by side. We became good friends and talked many times on our ship-to-shore radio. What an inspiration talking to and watching this Captain of Captains at work. As good as Captain Buswell was at king fishing, he was even better at tarpon fishing:
Today we recognize Captain Bill Miller as one of the best of all times. Captain Miller learned from the best. His mentor was Captain Bobby Buswell:
Today Captain Bobby Buswell, one of the best of all times, is enjoying a well earned retirement:
We come from a solid foundation. Thank to legends such as Captain Wilson Hubbard, Captain Bobby Buswell, and Captain Bill Miller, 'Fishing is embedded in our history.' There is no place on earth we would rather be than on the water.
