A mixed week for weather and water conditions, but the extreme cold will retreat. The main highlight of the week will be temperatures above the freezing mark, however it will bring some wintry weather on Monday. Starting Monday Afternoon through Monday Evening, a wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain, snow showers, and rain (for very southern locations) will affect the state tomorrow. This will end by night. However, it could bring ice accumulations causing slippery conditions for the evening commute. Use caution walking and driving on icy surfaces. Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry, followed by rain for Thursday and Friday. Highs will range from the 20’s to 50’s with overnight lows in the teens to 40’s. Water conditions will vary as well from cautious to hazardous most of the week to good to borderline on Wednesday.

Arctic high pressure centered over the Mid-Atlantic states will move offshore tonight. Low pressure will track across eastern Canada on Monday. A cold front accompanying this system will move through the region Monday night into Tuesday morning. Another area of high pressure will build in from the west Tuesday afternoon and night, before progressing off the eastern seaboard on Wednesday. A cold front will slowly approach from the west late in the week into early next weekend with areas of low pressure
moving northeast along it.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
