Another week and another Winter Storm with poor water conditions all week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will have chances of rain/snow as another coastal storm moves up the coast. Right now, the track brings a moderate snowfall across the state with 1-4 inches possible, as well as gusty winds to 50 mph, minor coastal flooding, beach erosion, high seas and gale force winds. The storm will be highly dependent on track and intensity, so any change to the west will bring more coastal impacts and more snow, a track more to the east, will bring less impacts and less snow. Thursday and Friday will have a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will vary from the 30’s to 40’s with lows in the 20’s to 30’s. Water conditions will be hazardous on Monday and Tuesday and cautious on Wednesday through Friday. Seas will push 20 feet with winds to 50 knots. Gale and Storm Warnings have been issued for Monday and Tuesday. Updates to follow on Winter Storm and snowfall totals, however, I will not be home to update until evening hours.

A broad area of low pressure over the southeast U.S. will consolidate off the Carolina coast overnight, then intensify before is passes east of Cape Cod on Tuesday. A blustery unstable northwest flow will follow for the middle of the work week before
high pressure builds over the area late Friday into Saturday. Low pressure and a complex frontal system may affect our area late Saturday and Sunday.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
