Beautiful day for a boat ride...day started off looking very promising with scattered bunker by the sailboats, Gave young Christian his first look at how to snag adult bunker...think he was happy with just that....could have played with them all day and he would have been cool with it....but off we went to brown water pastures...headed off Keyport first, some bunks but nothing on them...out to Romers where a fleet had gathered on a mound of about 15 ft of water...I trolled the channels around the mound and finally caught Christians first striper....played around the mound for awhile then headed over to Hoffmans then to Statue of Liberty for Christian....wore him out by 1pm and he napped for a couple hours as we headed back towards Navy Pier and Keansburg....more bunker than earlier but still knowone home.......lots of miles for Christians first, hopefully over time he forgets the sloooow parts!
