We're happy with our opening day fluke trip.
The morning was good steady action with a fair amount of keepers and sea bass. Bucktail rigs and traditional rigs both worked. The mates noticed that pink gulp seemed to get the most bites. Dan Rice caught his limit with his biggest at just over 4lbs.
The afternoon trip trip was met with a stiff southerly breeze, which made fishing a bit tough. We did manage a few fluke and some sea bass but not like the AM. Bob McNary landed a couple nice keepers today, along with a 5.6 lber!
Good to see the life today. We also saw sea robins, smooth dogfish, sundials and skates.
The Gambler is now getting ready for night stripers trip. It's been tough but hopefully tonight.
See you soon
