Took a ride today
« on: December 28, 2007, 02:54:36 PM »
Nothing much to do today so I took a ride down the beach from Belmar down to Sea Girt. The ocean was flat as a pancake and I saw a few boats working just off the beach. Looked like a nice day to catch some schoolies. Anyone out today?

I was out today with Captain Anthony on the Angela Rose II. There were a couple other on the boat from the board but I stink at names oh yeah one was my buddy Mike another was Phil who originally posted on this board looking for guys to share the charter and a couple others sorry guys. Took a ride from point pleasant to shrewsbury stoped on a couple marks but no one home. Then we ran for crabs and did some tog fishing had a fair pull of fish with 9 or 10 keepers to 7# and the same amount throw backs. First time on the boat. Anthony and mate Kevin made and great crew and the boat was a very nice ride. Here is the one of guys who's name I don't remember with his first tog ever and it won the pool. I do remember he was a chef and the vinegar peppers were great with the tog.

Good report,

You did better then we did off the suds.  But that is ok all it cost me were a couple of lures a tank of gas and fishing with my daughter is always a hoot.

Happy Catching
