The Gambler had a slow week up until today. Bites were scarce ever since last weekends strong winds and seas.
However, this morning was a very nice change. We had some decent keeper fluke up to 6.4 lbs and some big knuckle head sea bass (which we are allowed to keep now). The McNary family was out with us this morning and they landed 6 Keeper fluke and 6 keeper sea bass between the 4 of them. Bob McNary won the pool started the monthly derby board with a 6.4 lb fluke.
Last few nights fishing was good on mixed sized ling up to 4 lbs. Also had a few sea bass in the night mix as well. Squid have been swimming under our night lights, so there's been an opportunity to catch those as well.
Tonight will be our first Shark in the Dark trip of the season. We will have a report on that soon.
We have had a lot of questions regarding our Fourth of July schedule. We will be running out regular fluke trips from 8-12:30 and 2-6:30. We will also be having a fireworks cruise leaving at 8PM and tickets can be purchased online!
