Rod Reel combo
« on: December 20, 2018, 05:42:40 PM »
I just picked up an Avet SX 5.3 reel and I'm currently shopping around for a new rod to pair it with. I was looking at the St. Croix Mojo salt conventional rod. I will mainly be using this set up for bottom fishing for fluke, sea bass, and tog with a possibility of using it for bluefish and schoolie stripers. Just trying to get some feedback on what action and power I should be looking at. If anyone has some rod suggestions that'd be great!

They're are a lot of nice rods out there. What is your price range is the better question?

Id be willing to spend anything up to around $200 on the rod.
