Well guys it is time to get serious. The beach is lighting up and the back bay is easy pickins. Bunker chunks are the first choice a metal jigs are a close second.
Out back it is small stuff like 3/4 bucktails to whatever will keep them off the bottom with a slow retrieve. Oh yeah don't forget to put on a curly tail or what ever you choose to use. Plus don't leave behind that favorite top water rig, the bass that are back there sure like them.
If you prefer the inlet have at it. 1 to 3 oz bucktails seem to be the key. Use any color you want as long as it is white. The blues are on the bottom so that is where you want to be.
Out front is beginning to be a lot of fun. Again bunker chunks seem to be the key for nice size stripers as well as blues. Let us know how you do.
Looks like today is not in the picture for me as we will be heading down to Stafford Twp. with my grandson (almost 3) to the Touch a Truck at the lake there.
Fishem up, the season is here and I hope it lasts for a while. I am trying to get out Monday we'll see what happens.
