Wow! That's INSANE!
Coincidentally, I have a friend who is from Morro Bay (moved to NYC wanting to be an actress, ya know
) and I once went with her back home, pretty much just because it sounded like a cool place. The Pacific seems so much different from the Atlantic, and I definitely believe those photos. The waves were absolutely INSANE and they bounce off rocks and HUGE structures all over the place close to the coast.
The "inlet" was more of a "pass," which is seen mostly on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and it led from the bay to the ocean. The swells right off the pass were huge and talking to my friend's grandfather, who owns a boat and goes fishing often, it's very dangerous.
Just another little fact: my friend never had a snow day in Morro Bay, but they actually used to have "fog days" where it was too unsafe for school buses and the schools had to be closed. All in all, a very cool place.
