...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT
MONDAY...

LOW PRESSURE, OVER NORTH CAROLINA THIS MORNING, WILL INTENSIFY AS
IT MOVES NORTHEAST, REACHING COASTAL DELAWARE THIS EVENING AND
HEAD SLOWLY NORTH THEREAFTER. THE LOW IS EXPECTED TO MOVE OVER
SOUTHEASTERN NEW YORK AND SOUTHWESTERN NEW ENGLAND TONIGHT.

ONSHORE WINDS, IN COMBINATION WITH THE HIGH ASTRONOMICAL TIDES
ASSOCIATED WITH THE NEW MOON, WILL RESULT IN TIDAL FLOODING INTO
TONIGHT ALONG THE COASTS OF NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE, ALONG DELAWARE
BAY AND ON THE TIDAL PORTION OF THE DELAWARE RIVER.

DUE TO THE SLOW PROGRESS OF THE STORM, THE HIGHEST WATER LEVELS
ARE NOW EXPECTED AROUND THIS EVENING'S HIGH TIDE. WIDESPREAD MINOR
TO MODERATE FLOODING IS ANTICIPATED AT THAT TIME ALONG THE
DELAWARE COAST AND DELAWARE BAY, AS WELL AS ALONG THE NEW JERSEY
COAST FROM THE ATLANTIC CITY AREA SOUTHWARD. WIDESPREAD MODERATE
FLOODING IS EXPECTED ALONG THE NEW JERSEY COAST FROM LONG BEACH
ISLAND NORTHWARD.

ON THE TIDAL PORTION OF THE DELAWARE RIVER, THE HIGHEST WATER LEVELS
ARE EXPECTED AROUND BOTH THE MIDDAY HIGH TIDE AND TONIGHTS HIGH
TIDE. WIDESPREAD AREAS OF MODERATE FLOODING ARE ANTICIPATED.

THE WATER LEVELS DUE TO THE HIGH TIDES ARE BEING ENHANCED BY HEAVY
RAINFALL. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES HAD FALLEN AS OF 10 AM.
TOTAL RAINFALL SHOULD RANGE BETWEEN TWO AND FOUR INCHES BEFORE
TAPERING OFF LATER TODAY OR EARLY TONIGHT.

THE HIGH TIDE LEVELS, STRONG WINDS AND WAVE ACTION WILL ALSO RESULT
IN MINOR TO MODERATE BEACH EROSION.

THE FOLLOWING TIDE FORECASTS ARE IN MEAN LOWER LOW WATER. KEEP IN
MIND THAT HIGH TIDE OCCURS LATER ON THE BACK BAYS THAN ON THE
OCEANFRONT.

AT SANDY HOOK, NEW JERSEY /BAY SIDE/, HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING IS AT
7:07 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF AROUND 8.5 FEET.

AT SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NEW JERSEY /OCEANFRONT/, HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING
IS AT 6:37 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF AROUND 8.0 FEET.

AT ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY /OCEANFRONT/, HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING
IS AT 6:41 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF AROUND 7.5 FEET.

AT CAPE MAY, NEW JERSEY /OCEANFRONT/, HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING IS AT
7:14 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF 7.5 TO 8.0 FEET.

AT BREAKWATER HARBOR, DELAWARE /BAY SIDE/, HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING
IS AT 7:53 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF 7.0 TO 7.5 FEET.

AT FENWICK ISLAND, DELAWARE /OCEANFRONT/, HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING
IS AT 6:53 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF AROUND 7.0 FEET.

AT REEDY POINT, DELAWARE, HIGH TIDE THIS MORNING IS CURRENTLY
OCCURRING WITH A HEIGHT OF 7.2 FEET. HIGH TIDE THIS EVENING WILL
OCCUR AT 10:35 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF AROUND 7.5 FEET.

AT PHILADELPHIA. PENNSYLVANIA, HIGH TIDE THIS AFTERNOON IS AT
12:46 PM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF 8.5 TO 9.0 FEET. HIGH TIDE
TONIGHT WILL OCCUR AT 1:16 AM WITH A FORECAST WATER LEVEL OF
AROUND 9.0 FEET.

AS THE LOW MOVES UP OVER SOUTHEASTERN NEW YORK AND SOUTHWESTERN NEW
ENGLAND TONIGHT, THE WIND WILL SHIFT TO AN OFFSHORE DIRECTION AND
TIDAL DEPARTURES WILL BEGIN TO DECREASE.

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT.

IF YOU LIVE IN A LOCATION THAT IS PRONE TO TIDAL FLOODING, BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION IF NECESSARY AND LISTEN TO THE ADVICE OF
LOCAL AUTHORITIES.

DO NOT PARK YOUR VEHICLE IN A LOCATION THAT IS PRONE TO TIDAL
FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOOD WATERS, THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER
THAN YOU THINK IT IS.
