Cod/Haddock Trip
« on: March 02, 2008, 08:51:50 PM »
Anyone interested in doing a cod/haddock trip on Saturday May 31 on the B-Fast out of Green Harbour Mass. I was quoted a price of $1140 ($190/man tip not included) but I need to inform the captain by no later than Tuesday.

In speaking with the captain the cod average #8-15 with a good amount of #20s around. The haddock are in the #5-7 class. Cod will take both bait & jigs while the haddock just on bait.

I'm in for 2 (myself & my son) so need 4 more.

Was thinking of backing that up with a flounder trip out of Quincy the following morning before driving home. Haven't got a price on the flounder trip buit if memory serves it was @$450 ($75/man--tip not included).

If I wasn't so into stripers that time of the year I'd go.  I think I have striper charter that weekend or that Monday(or something).  Looks like a fun trip though.

I hear ya about the striper fishing.

But that fishery should be in full swing here before May 31 and after.

I just like doing something alittle different every now and then.

Tony, I've done the Sunday morning flounder trip in Quincy many times and we get back to the dock about noon. I'm usually home before 7 PM so if you have a Monday charter down here you'll be home in plenty of time.

Anyway, it's looking less and less that this trip will come together as I only have 1 other person interested but I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon before contacting the captain.
