If I had the same setup as you have on your truck I'd be able to fish all day, take a nap in the back, and then do some night fishin'.  But, did you catch anything?
PS - That's what that part of the alphabet would look like if there where no Q or R.

The only thing I caught was a sunburn... :-X

No one was catching a thing. I started at A24 down by the notch and road north and the same story ZIP, ZERO, NADA, NOTHING... Still it was great to be out there.  I was using fresh clams and the leftovers were shucked and salted (in Kosher salt no additives) I am curious to see if  they will do as good or better than fresh (so I'm told).

The green heads are brutal, but a good repellent is a must we usually use Deep Woods.  Watch the winds, if the wind is offshore in the summer keep your windows rolled up because they will carry pets and young children away.  But if the wind is off the water it usually means the flies are on the bay side and it is safe to fish the ocean.

I'll let everyone know if they become too bad.

But like I mentioned watch the winds.

As far as the brakes go the whole vehicle gets a good washing when I get home.  All reels, poles, carrier, cooler, topside of vehicle, and especially the under carriage including all wheels and breaks.  So far it has been working this is only the second set of brakes and the rig is a 2000.

Sure it takes time but it is all worth it in the long run.

Once I hit the beach it is like I'm on vacation...until reality hits on the way home. :P
