Do you have any info on that?  I couldn't find anything about a casting cannon.   5hrug

I think my index finger works just fine as a free, built in casting cannon :)

The bowhunters should have some input. Its the same concept as a release aid when using a bow -  a cleaner release.
Probably a little easier on the finger as well when your casting for hours on end.

I can see the benefit working a surf rod where you have to put oomph in the cast over and over again. Saves the finger!

Jigging or casting from a boat, nah!

I think once you get the feel of casting this device will not make a discernable difference.

Perhaps if you are prone to your finger getting cut while casting (I know a few people like that) then this would be a good thing to have and use.

this is my main concern.  the added distance will be nice, too, but it's my fingers that i'm really concerned about.  i sliced them a few times last fall and didn't much care for the feeling. :)

Hi Ash,

I hear they work great but the only thing that concerns me is that it is attached with electrical tape.  In the cold and wet environment I can see it coming loose all the time.  Summer should be no problem.  For me I just build up callouses and go from there.
