who is going out there sunday to try for some mud fish ,I am going w/ sam, fluke dud and mark martian ,we will be setting anchor as the sun comes up on the bay ,I cant wait to set the hook for the first time this season on a flounder ,I ate my last pack today leftover from last spring so it is time to fill the freezer again.I am looking foward to this trip it will be the first on the new boat w/ a bunch of good guy so we should have some great laughs

we all know that scurby will be here 2 hours early and waking all of us up to leave even earlier,last night he called me at midnight to discuss tactics on catching flounder  .I cant believe no one else is going out for a morning shot at them

where is your area??? we fish the raritan and have a o.k. run of them ,it isn't the old days when you did trips w/ 100 or more fish but it gets us all out of the house and on the water.I have news paper articles from back in the 80's when my dad and I were bringing home 120 almost every weekend before we knew what limits were

we'll I hope so ,I need to fill my freezer and I told my grandma I would bring her a couple fillets for dinner.hope to pull a dozen out in our limited time
I trided to get off work monday but cant so my next trip will be next friday

More than likely, I'm going to hold off until Sunday March 30th for my 1st (well actually 2nd cause I did go blackfishing New Years day) trip in '08.

IMHO, I think the water will be to roiled and too cold. Oh they'll be some flounder taken but not a good enough bite to warrant me making the investment.

Really no need to get out at first light, I would think that any flounder activity would be later in the day after the sun as warmed the water some.

I can only fish the morning because of the holiday ,I wish I could fish the afternoon ,only hope I have is that we have an outgoing to help warm the water up .

Sounds good wish my boat was splashed. Gonna buy a trailer sometime this year....

My notsosecret weapon is a can of Friskies Ocean Whitefish dinner in the chum pots so maybe give that a try....
