« on: April 07, 2007, 05:36:56 PM »
Guys,

Just got done sorting thru the tackle box. Any ideas on how to prevent the rust in the box. The so called water proof boxes failed..just through out about 200 fluke hooks and 100 striper rigs??

well  first off, how are they geting wet, did something spill? were they stored in humid mois places,, find the main reason and end it,

I have the shimano soft case with the plano boxes inside and they are all fine,

I also dont store hooks after using them cause they are wet, if i want to keep  a rig or lure after using it , I hang it and make sure its dry, thus keeping the moisture from getting in there

well hope this helps

rinse off the things really good in a bucket with soap and water, make sure it dry's before you put into storage.
Fish out of Toms River NJ.
Call Nick for open boat, 973-417-5756, or on Channel 68.
