Bottom Fishing - Longport NJ
« on: April 20, 2008, 06:25:32 PM »
Man, what a struggle this week. Hugh ground swell- full moon current, plus the fish are starting to spawn-lots of followers.    Water temp is up to 51.7 and some birds working the inlet. Sunday we had Gannets in the inlet way up to the GH buoy. Striper's should be on the feed this week, epically around high tide in GE inlet. Bait, or small plugs should do the trick. As for blackfish and sea Bass, we managed to put a catch together most found a limit(4)but size ? OH ,well.  But the good news This week they'll snap like crazy. Fluke bite Green crab... :-*

Thanks for the report.  Looking forward to getting past the first keeper of the season.

I don't know why but it seems like this winter was sooooooo long.

Happy Catching

Paul
