Hook the thru the nose or just in front of the dorsal fin.

Both work; I think fin has a better presentation.

Welcome to the site; enjoy.

Hi P Brigs Welcome to the site  grtn For me when live lining where I hook the fish depends on if I am drifting or at anchor. If anchored I will hook them in through the mouth and out between the nostrils, if drifting I hook them through the back, I have found and read that if you hook them in front of the dorsal fin they tend to stay higher in the water column, hook them behind the dorsal fin they will swim down  ;D
