This year I'm having the GRAND SLAM Customer Appreciation Tournament on the opening weekend of Fluke season and as for the last several years it will be a "FREE" tournament, with one exception.
As everyone should know there is a very serious problem with the National Marine Fisheries idea of the east coast Summer Flounder Fishery and the reality of what we are seeing in reality.
In a nutshell they say there aren't enough flounder and have already increased the size limit to the extreme and there is a very real threat that there will NO FLOUNDER SEASON IN 2009.
I have joined a group of other members of the recreational fishing industry that is out to fight this possibility. They are, Save the Summer Flounder Fisheries Fund (

In order to help them out the Striped Bass, Bluefish and Weakfish divisions will be free and there will be gift Certificate Prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd. For the Flounder Division there will be a $10 entry fee that will be divided 50% for prizes and 50% to benifit the SSFFF.
To enter you must stop by the store and register during the Customer Appreciation Sale which is May 16th thru May 23rd or before you fish on the 24th or 25th. Complete details are available on my web site

There will also be a great raffle for a rod and reel which was obtained by Rack and Fin Radio Personality Tom Paglioli which features a Evolution Rod, US Reels Supercaster and Suffix Braid. This will be 100% benifit to SSFFF. Tickets are $10 each and available at Absecon Bay Sportsman Center and the drawing will be at 5pm May 25th before the store closes.
This is more than a good cause, this is the life or death of fluke fishing on the east coast. And because this is the result of actions by the "Eco-Terrorists" it is actually a fight for recreational fishing period!
