Torium or Saltist?

Wondering if any had experiences with these two reels.  Saltist 40, torium 30

Im looking for a reel to fish for off-shore seabass/cod/big blackfish.  Any pros and cons between these two?

I got a Torium 16 last year for jigging and I'm very happy with it.   Plus Shimano's customer service is second to none!

I have both. Although my Saltist is a 50 I use for offshore trips.
  Both very nice reels,  light, and very smooth.  Both have large handle knobs which are very easy on the hands when cranking all day.
  I've had both a few seasons now and the drags have been bulletproof so far w/o any problems.
  If I had to choose one, I would take the Saltist. No particular reason, just a nice fit for me.  You cant go wrong with either one.

I have 2 Torium 30 reels. I have beat them up for a few years without service. I will be buying 2 more this year. I have heard that the saltis makes there way back in for service a little too often. I also use 65-80 lbs braid on my reels this will stop a 15lb bluefish in his tracks turn his head and skim him across the surface with ease. I have used these for bait fishing to sharking. I primarily use them wreck fishing and fluking, great gear ratio and I thin 1 crank and you retrieve 40-42 inches of line. Good Luck!

Torium 30's are tough to beat especially for the price... jig yellowfins with NO problem... and the 20's have caught big grouper in florida for me in 300+ ft..... If i ever decide to get into chartering these would be my choice for customer rods
