Open boat trip 5/17

Well after playing phone tag with Catfish last night about Wind conditions.. I decide the trip was a go! JCChat Boy ( Jeff) and Girlfriend Melissa took the Open boat trip! Unfortunitely their friend bailed last minute!!! Left the marina at 7am ran for Bunker,found bunker in great numbers. After that trip about 8am we hit the a wall of wind with solid 4-6fters.. Slow pounding ride to the bass grounds! Jeff and Melissa were game for the rough ride! Finally hit the grounds and Started drifting and drying out .. Plenty of blues. Then the lucky Left rod started to Scream off. Melissa was hooked up on a nice 20+lbders.. Then more blues!! Made a move drop the hook and paid off.. We limited the boat with bass up to 27lbs.. a great day with great people! ..Special Note Melissa stuck it out all day even though her sea legs were not on her side today!! My hats off to her!!
