Surf Bait Launcher
« on: May 25, 2008, 11:34:16 AM »
Hi All,
I am coming from PA surf fishing in sandy hook for the 1st time.  Just recieved my 200 yard bait launcher and I am picking my cousin up and we are gonna release this beast.  I hope they are legal to use up there.  Have not seen anything posted about them being prohibited.  Any advise or tips from anyone that have used these would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site! I don't know about whether these launchers are prohibited, but let us know how you make out with it. I would think that with 200 yards of air time, you should catch plenty of seagulls!  hhppy

Bill from the Casino Pier gave me this month's copy of the NJDEP's magazine Fish & Wildlife and it had two ads for the surf rocket so I am guessing that it is legal on the NJ Shore.  It says you can chum with it also and will even toss out lures for 500 feet. I guess one could find out in a hurry how well their line is spooled! I hope you post a follow-up post here about how it worked!  Be careful!   ;)
